Company History

When the late Mr. & Mrs. Abraham Enns began farming in Manitoba over 75 years ago, they had no idea of the changes that would take place in the field of agriculture in the latter half of the 20th century. And they certainly didn't have any inkling of the role their sons and grandsons would play in these changes.

In 1953, their sons Jake and Harry Enns entered the farm equipment business as an Allis-Chalmers and New Holland dealer in Sanford. In 1956, a long relationship was established when Enns Brothers became the John Deere Dealer for the Sanford area.

Five years later the dealership moved to the corner of Hwy 3 and the Perimeter at Oak Bluff – now the site of its Corporate Head Office. By 1987 Enns Brothers had opened a second branch in Morris, in 1992 a third in Portage la Prairie, and in 1998 the company assumed responsibility for the Interlake area. June 2004 marked the opening of a brand-new 8,000 square foot building in Arborg.

In February 2008, Enns Brothers merged its 4 locations with Countryside Equipment who had locations in Brandon & Neepawa. This merger made Enns Brothers into one of the largest independently owned John Deere Agricultural dealerships in Canada. With over 200 staff, 80 Service Technicians 26 Parts staff 3 dedicated AMS Staff as well as other product specialists.

A new Powersports facility was opened in the fall of 2008 at 925 Lagimodiere. This location boasts one of the largest indoor showrooms in western Canada, large service facilities, and carriers lines such as Ski Doo, Sea Doo, Can Am, Spyder, as well as Mastercraft, Starcraft, Evenrude, and many other lines of Powersports products. This locations operates under Enns Brothers Powersports. "The fun starts here!"

In June of 2010, Deer Country Equipment of Steinbach merged into the Enns Brothers group of dealerships. Deer Country, (formerly Reimer Farm Supplies) first opened it’s doors in 1953 and has had a strong presence in Southeastern Manitoba with a solid reputation built on integrity, honesty and true customer focus. The 32,000 square ft facility was built in 1996 and is located on Highway 12 North, in Steinbach.

Deer Country Partners Alex Loewen, Ken Mantie and Mark Loewen became partners in the Enns Brothers group of partners, joining Vic Enns, Dave Enns, Ray Bouchard, Henry Carels, Kelly Mathison and Scott Medd.
